Dr. Aurelian Dodoc

​DOD was founded to inspire, motivate, and encourage engineers to look beyond perceived horizons and to turn innovation into a working attitude.

​

​Dr. Dodoc has authored and co-authored more than 100 patent families and numerous publications, and brings more than 35 years of successful experience in optical design and engineering for systems used in lithography, cinematography, photography, sports optics, surveillance, defense, and optical communications.

After graduating and earning the Engineer Diploma from the Bucharest Polytechnical University in 1990, Dr. Dodoc started as an external Assistant Lecturer, and afterward, he held different positions in companies in the optical industry. In 2001 he received Doctor's Degree "Cum Laude" in Engineering with "Analysis, Synthesis, and Optimization of Zoom Optical Systems". Some of his main stations are:

• Carl Zeiss / Consumer Optics Division for 5 years as Optical Designer and Principal Scientist for Product Development, Photo and Cine Lenses

• Carl Zeiss / Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology for 8 years as Optical Design Engineer and Principal Scientist for Product Development, Lithography Lenses

• Leitz Cine Wetzlar for 5 years as Chief Optical Designer, CTO and MD, Cine Lenses
